TO ORGANIZE EVENTS AND FESTIVALS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND TO PROMOTE HIGHER EDUCATION IN YUMA COUNTY AND ARIZONA.

OUR ORGANIZATION FILLS AN IMPORTANT NEED BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LOCAL STUDENTS WHO WILL ATTEND ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY FROM YUMA COUNTY. THE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTS A VARIETY OF MAJORS AND PROFESSIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO SERVE AS MENTORS TO THE RECIPIENTS. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO SUPPORT OUR CAUSE. THE TAMALE FESTIVAL IS OUR MAJOR PROGRAM EVENT SUCCESS. IT ATTRACTS CLOSE TO 30,000 VISITORS TO SOMERTON AND IN SUPPORT OF SCHOOLS, LOCAL BUSINESSES, LOCAL VENDORS, AND OPPORTUNITY TO HIGHLIGHT REGIONAL AND LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT. WITH PROCEES FROM THE FESTIVAL, THE ORGANIZTION AWARDED OVER 26,000 IN SCHOLARHSIPS AND 3,600 TO LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES, FAMILIES WHO RUN VENDOR BOOTHS, AND SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONS AND NONPROFITS WHO RAISE MONEY AT THE EVENT.
