IN 2021, FHF SERVED 414 CAMPERS THROUGH 13 FAMILY CAMP WEEKENDS FROM APRIL TO NOVEMBER. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, PROVIDING FAMILY CAMPS WERE THE SAFEST OPPORTUNITY WHILE BRINGING CAMPERS BACK ON SITE. PROGRAM OUTCOMES WERE FOCUSED ON PROVIDING CONNECTION, ENTERTAINMENT, AND RESOURCES. THE TEAM DELIVERED HOT MEALS TO FAMILIES IN THEIR CABINS AND FACILITATED SMALL GROUP ACTIVITIES WITHIN TRADITIONAL CAMP PROGRAMS LIKE FISHING, ARCHERY, ART, NATURE, SWIMMING, AND MORE. ALTERNATIVE CAMP EXPERIENCES, INCLUDING THE CONTINUATION OF THE CAMP-IN-A-BOX PROGRAM, REACHED AN ADDITIONAL 453 CAMPERS FROM THE COMFORT OF HOME AS MANY FAMILIES HAD CONTINUED TO ISOLATE THROUGH 2021. MEDICAL CONDITIONS SERVED INCLUDED BLOOD DISORDERS, CANCER, CARDIAC DISORDERS, ENDOCRINE DISORDERS, GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDERS, GENETIC DISORDERS, IMMUNOLOGIC DISORDERS, NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS, PULMONARY DISEASE, RHEUMATOLOGIC DISORDERS, SKIN DISEASE, AND OTHER RARE DISEASES. 612 VOLUNTEERS SERVED THROUGHOUT THE SPRING, SUMMER, AND FALL, AND 15 SEASONAL STAFF JOINED IN THE SUMMER TO PROVIDE PROGRAM FACILITATION, MEDICAL CARE, AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SERVICES.
