THE BOULDER BALLET IS A DANCE COMPANY AND A SCHOOL, AND RUNS VARIOUS OTHER PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES BALLET TRAINING FOR ALL AGES, PRESCHOOL THROUGH ADULT, WITH MORE THAN 350 STUDENTS PER SEMESTER. THE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN MANY OF THE BALLET'S PERFORMANCES AND OTHER EVENTS, WORKSHOPS AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS. THE PROFESSIONAL COMPANY PERFORMS SEVERAL TIMES PER YEAR, INCLUDING THE ANNUAL NUTCRACKER BALLET, A CONTEMPORARY DANCE, A STORYBOOK BALLET, AND SEVERAL FREE EVENTS SUCH AS BALLET IN THE PARK. THE OUTREACH PROGRAM BRINGS THE ART OF BALLET TO LOCAL SCHOOLS, TO STUDENTS WHO OTHERWISE WOULD NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE DANCE AND MOVEMENT. WE ESTIMATE THE BALLET REACHES OVER 20,000 PER YEAR THROUGH THESE VARIOUS PROGRAMS.
