THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAM AIMS TO SUPPORT THOSE IN ACTIVE USE BY PROVIDIING CLEAN SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS TO THEM WHILE ALSO EDUCATING THEM ON BECOMING SOBER. VOLUNTEERS SUPPORT THE PROGRAM EACH WEEK BY MEETING WITH PARTICIPANTS AND EDUCATING THEM ON SAFE PRACTICES
THE SCHOOL NURSE PROGRAM PLACES A FULL-TIME NURSE IN EVERY CABARRUS COUNTY AND KANNAPOLIS CITY SCHOOL. WHILE PRIMARILY FUNDED THROUGH CABARRUS HEALTH ALLIANCE AND CABARRUS COUNTY, THE SWING FOR KIDS GOLF TOURNAMENT PROVIDES FUNDING FOR EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND SPECIAL INITIATIVES.
