Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE FIDELIS CENTER FOR LAW AND POLICY OPERATES AS AN ALLIED AFFILIATE OF FIDELIS, AND PROVIDES STRATEGIC FUNDING IN SELECT PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION, JUDICIAL REFORM EFFORTS, NEWS AND COMMENTARY,AND NON-PARTISAN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS CREATED TO HELP EDUCATE AND INFORM AMERICAN CATHOLICSCONSISTENT WITH CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING. OUR PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO COORDINATE, FUND, OR ENGAGE IN STRATEGIC LITIGATION TO PROMOTE THE SANCTITY OF LIFE, CIVIL RIGHTS, AND THE FAMILY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES CRITICAL FUNDING IN SEVERAL IMPORTANT LEGAL CASES WHERE LEGAL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO CLIENTS WITHOUT CHARGE. THE CENTER ALSO PRODUCED AMICUS BRIEFS FOR SEVERAL KEY CASES BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT, REPRESENTING THE INTERESTS OF CONCERNED CATHOLIC CITIZENS.
DURING 2021 THE CENTER ALSO CONTINUED TO FUND A SERIES OF EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES INCLUDING ONLINE VIDES, EMAIL NEWSLETTERS, SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS AND VIDEOS AND OTHER PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE VOTERS ON THE PRINCIPLES OF CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING, AND THEIR APPLICATION TO AMERICAN PUBLIC LIFE. THE FIDELIS CENTER OPERATES A D/B/A "CATHOLICVOTE EDUCATION FUND" WHICH PUBLISHES A DAILY NEWSLETTER "THE LOOP" SENT TO OVER 179,000 SUBSCRIBERS, AND COLLECTIVELY SENT OVER 20 MILLION EMAILS IN 2021. DURING THE YEAR, THE FIDELIS CENTER ALSO CREATED AN ADDITIONAL D/B/A "EDIFY," A NEW COMPREHENSIVE DIGITAL LEARNING PLATFORM THAT PRODUCED BI-MONTHLY ANIMATED VIDEO PRODUCTIONS FEATURING PROMINENT NATIONAL EXPERTS ON ISSUES OF PUBLIC IMPORT.
