ORGANIZE AND REINVIGORATE THE MUSLIM YOUTH AND THE COMMUNITY BY IMPARTING MORAL STANDARDS, RELIGIOUS EDUCATION, CIVIC AWARENESS AND LEADERSHIP QUALITIES IN ORDER TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH AND ENRICH THE MAINSTREAM AMERICAN SOCIETY AND CULTURE.

GENERAL COMMUNITY SERVICES: MCECC PROVIDES SAFE AND PEACEFUL PLACE AND ENVIRONMENT FOR WORSHIP AND ISLAMIC EDUCATION. SOME OF THESE SERVICES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, 5 DAILY PRAYERS, WEEKLY FRIDAY SPECIAL SERMON/KHUTBAH AND PRAYER SERVICES, 2 ANNUAL EID PRAYERS, KHUTBA AND COMMUNITY EVENTS, OUTREACH AND INTERFAITH PROGRAMS, DAILY & WEEKLY LECTURES, HALAQA AND CLASSES FOR ADULTS, YOUTH AND NEW MUSLIMS, FAMILY COUNSELING, MARRIAGE AND FUNERAL SERVICES, ANNUAL CONFERENCE, AND OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES.
COMMUNITY WELFARE PROGRAMS. 1. ZAKAT AND SADAQA FUND. VARIOUS FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY ARE HELPED WITH THEIR RENTS AND UTILITY PAYMENTS, EVERYDAY HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES, AND MEDICAL BILLS ON AN ONGOING BASIS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. ZAKAT IS AN OBLIGATORY CHARITABLE DONATION GIVEN TO MCECC BY ITS CONGREGANTS AND ALL THESE FUNDS ARE USED FOR THE BENEFIT OF NEEDY COMMUNITY MEMBERS PER GUIDELINES OF ISLAMIC TEACHINGS AS PRESCRIBED IN HOLY QURAN AND PROPHETIC TEACHINGS. 2. RAMADHAN FOOD DRIVE. OVER 250-300 FAMILIES WERE HELPED WITH ESSENTIAL GROCERIES IN FORM OF GROCERY STORES GIFT CARDS RIGHT BEFORE THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADHAN. 3. ANNUAL WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE. OVER 100-120 FAMILIES WERE HELPED WITH WINTER CLOTHING, SHOES, AND BLANKETS. THE EVENT WAS OPEN TO BOTH MUSLIMS AND NON-MUSLIM AND ALL FAITH COMMUNITIES BENEFITED FROM THE DRIVE. (IN KIND DONATIONS.). THESE WINTER ITEMS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN MCECC AND WERE ALSO DONATED TO SHELTER HOMES INCLUDING HEAVEN FOR HOPE. THIS DRIVE WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER FAITH BASED AND COMMUNITY WELFARE ORGANISATIONS. 4. AFGHAN REFUGEES ESSENTIAL ITEMS DRIVE. MCECC COLLABORATED WITH CITY WIDE INITIATIVES TO HELP IN-COMING AFGHAN REFUGEES IN VARIOUS WAYS INCLUDING PROVIDING ESSENTIAL HOUSE HOLD ITEMS, GROCERIES GIFT CARDS AND ASSISTANCE WITH RENT AND UTILITIES.
SPECIAL EVENTS1. RAMADAN EVENTS. MUSLIM COMMUNITY BENEFITED FROM DAILY LECTURES, SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL EVENTS AND NIGHTLY PRAYERS LED BY RENOWNED RELIGIOUS SPEAKERS/RECITERS. 2. GUEST SPEAKER SERIES: RENOWNED GUEST SPEAKERS WERE INVITED BOTH DURING RAMADANAND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.
