THE MIDDLE EAST CHILDREN'S INSTITUTE'S MISSION IS TO ADDRESS THE EDUCATIONAL, PSYCHOSOCIAL HEATLH AND OTHER BASIC HUMANITARIAN NEEDS OF MIDDLE EASTERN CHILDREN AND WOMEN IN BOTH WAR-TORN AND IMPOVERISHED AREAS.

THIS IS A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES AFTER SCHOOL EDUCATION AND SUMMER PEACE CAMP FOR OVER 1,000 BOYS AND GIRLS IN GRADES 1 THROUGH 12. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES NUTRITIOUS FOOD, ACADEMIC TUTORIALS, SPORTS AND FINE ARTS. IT ALSO INCLUDES WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT WORKING WITH LOCAL WOMEN'S GROUPS WHO PROVIDE DAILY FOOD FOR THE YEAR LONG PROGRAM. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH PROGRAM PURCHASES OF FOOD AND SUPPLIES AT THE LOCAL LEVEL. WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS ARE INCLUDED THAT ADDRESS HEALTH, BEHAVIORAL AND THE PSYCHO SOCIAL NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.
MECI JORDAN- IS AN IMPLEMENTING PARTNER OF UNICEF, UNESCO, MALALA FUND AND OTHERS FOR THE ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS INCLUDING REMEDIAL AND INFORMAL EDUCATION,ARTS AND SPORTS, COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS AND SOCIAL COHESION FOR COMMUNITY BUILDING FOR REFUGEES AND DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN IN JORDAN. SINCE 2018, MECI JORDAN HAS BEEN IMPLIMENTING A NON-FORMAL EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR OUT-OF-SCHOOL ADOLESCENTS THAT HAVE NO OTHER ACCESS TO EDUCATION.
THE COORDINATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS BOTH IN THE WEST BANK AND IN JORDAN. THE GRANTING OF EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING YOUNG WOMEN RESIDING IN THE COMMUNITIES SUPPORTED.
