CBF OFFERS BETWEEN 25 AND 30 FREE PROGRAM SESSIONS EACH MONTH FOR WOMEN AND MEN WHO ARE EXPERIENCING BREAST CANCER. PROGRAMS RANGE FROM SUPPORT TO WELL BEING TO SELF IMAGE, NUTRITION, AND GENERAL EDUCATION ABOUT BREAST CANCER.
OUR ONE TO ONE MENTORING PROGRAM MATCHES SURVIVORS AT ANY POINT IN THEIR BREAST CANCER EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER SURVIVORS WHO MAY HAVE A SIMILAR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT HISTORY BUT WHO ARE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD IN NAVIGATNG THE JOURNEY. OUR VETTED PEER MENTORS CAN HELP SURVIVORS THROUGH VARIUS ELEMENTS OF THEIR BREAST CANCER EXPERIENCE FROM DEALING WITH THE NEWS OF THEIR DIAGNOSIS TO WHAT TO EXPECT FROM TREATMENT, TO ADJUSTING TO THE ONGOING WAYS THAT HAVING BREAST CANCER CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
CAROLINA BREAST FRIENDS PROVIDES OUTREACH IN THE FORM OF COMFORT BAGS, INSPIRATION JARS, MASTECTOMY PILLOWS, AND PROGOMATIC INFORMATION IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES TO THE COMMUNITY HOSPITALS, CLINICS, ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS.IN ADDITION, CAROLINA BREAST FRIENDS PROVIDES WIGS, SCARVES, PROSTHETICS AND MASTECTOMY BRAS OUT OF THEIR ON SITE FACILITY. ALL OF THESE OUTREACH SERVICES ARE PROVIDED, FREE OF CHARGE.
