INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF SARCOPENIA, CACHEXIA AND WASTING DISORDERS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ONLINE PLATFORM THAT WILL DISSEMINATE INFORMATION ABOUT SARCOPENIA, CACHEXIA AND WASTING DISEASES.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
AN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS ASSESSMENT WAS DEVELOPED AND INITIALLY SENT TO RESEARCHERS AND CLINICANS IN EUROPE, JAPAN, AND NORTH AMERICA. AFTER GETTING FEEDBACK FROM THAT DISTRIBUTION, THE SURVEY WAS SENT ALL OVER THE WORLD TO RESEARCHERS AND CLINICIANS IN THE FIELD OF CANCER CACHEXIA.
THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED TWO VIRTUAL CONFERENCES AND HAD 14 BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESENT AND PARTICIPATE AT THE CONFERENCES TO HELP EDUCATE OTHERS IN THE GERIATIC COMMUNITY ON THE EFFECTS OF MUSCLE WASTING.
