FLORIDA MEDICAL CLINIC FOUNDATION OF CARING STRIVES TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEED AND AT RISK IN HILLSBOROUGH AND PASCO COUNTIES. THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM AND FUNDING WE LEVERAGE RESOURCES TO ENRICH LIVES AND CREATE MEASURABLE, IMMEDIATE AND ONGOING POSITIVE CHANGES IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

DIRECTED GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT CHILDREN, FAMILIES, THE ELDERLY, EDUCATION AND VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS IN ORDER TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA. FLORIDA MEDICAL CLINIC FOUNDATION OF CARING'S MISSION TO BE A RESOURCE FOR NONPROFITS IN OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED AND AT RISK HAS NOT WAVERED. OUR FOCUS REMAINS TO MEET THE BASIC NEEDS OF PEOPLE ESPECIALLY AS THE WORLD COMES OUT OF THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC. ALL IN ALL, WE WERE ABLE TO PARTNER WITH 36 DIFFERENT NONPROFITS IN HILLSBOROUGH AND PASCO COUNTIES. (CONTINUED ON SCH O)(CONTINUED FROM PART III, LINE 4.A.)THROUGH OUR GRANTING INITIATIVES ALONE, WE DELIVERED FUNDING TO 26 CHARITIES TO THE TUNE OF NEARLY $276,000. THESE DOLLARS ADDRESSED URGENT NEEDS LIKE FOOD INSECURITY, HOMELESSNESS, MEDICAL ESSENTIALS, JOB PLACEMENT, CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE, MENTAL HEALTH, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, MENTAL HEALTH AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING. WE WERE ALSO PRIVILEGED TO BE ABLE TO DISTRIBUTE OVER $12,800 IN DESIGNATED GIFTS TO 6 LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS SERVING CHILDREN AND VETERANS.SINCE THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY CONTINUED TO GROW, WE FELT IT WAS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO MORE. IN ADDITION TO OUR FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES, WE PROVIDED SEVERAL IN-KIND DONATIONS TO THOSE NONPROFITS TRYING TO ASSIST OUR NEIGHBORS. WE WERE ABLE TO COLLECT OVER 2,800 POUNDS OF FOOD FROM OUR CLINIC OFFICES AND DISTRIBUTED IT TO LOCAL FOOD BANKS. FOR MOTHER'S DAY, WE GATHERED UNDERGARMENTS AND SUPPLIES FOR CHILDREN AND SENIORS IN NEED. WE ASSEMBLED BACKPACKS FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND GAVE THEM TO CHILDREN IN STRUGGLING FAMILIES.THE FMC FOUNDATION OF CARING WAS ALSO FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO PASS ALONG DONATIONS OF CLOTHING AND TOILETRIES TO CHILDREN LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LINE. AND LASTLY, AT THE END OF THE YEAR WE ENGAGED OUR CLINIC OFFICES IN A HOLIDAY DRIVE THAT YIELDED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN CLOTHES AND TOILETRIES FOR KIDS WHO DESPERATELY NEEDED THEM.
