DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, LYRIC OPERA OF THE NORTH CO-CREATED A SECOND PROJECT AS A PART OF THE DECAMERON COALITION. HEROES PREMIERED ONLINE IN OCTOBER OF 2021, WITH LOON'S CHAPTER, THE PLACE FEATURING AN ALL-BLACK CREATIVE TEAM AND CAST. LITTLE LOON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOUR WAS AGAIN UNABLE TO TOUR LIVE, SO A NEW 15-MINUTE MOVIE-OPERA WAS CREATED AND SENT TO SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE REGION. IN FEBRUARY, LOON PRODUCED FILM FOOTAGE WITH ARTIST ALICIA HALL MORAN FOR HER ONGOING PROJECT CALLED COLD-BLOODED, AN INTERPRETATION OF BIZET'S CARMEN ON ICE. JUNE 2022 BROUGHT A RETURN TO LIVE PERFORMANCES WITH HANSEL & GRETEL, FEATURING A FULL ORCHESTRA AND CHILDREN'S CHORUS IN ADDITION TO THE PRINCIPAL CAST, SET, COSTUMES, AND WIGS. A SUMMER FUNDRAISER WAS HELD OUTDOORS IN AUGUST.
