TO RAISE FUND FOR THE AYER SHIRLEY REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT AND AREA PRE-SCHOOLS. TWO MAJOR FUNDRAISERS ARE A ROAD RACE IN AYER MA. AND A TRAIL RUN IN SHIRLEY MA. FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH A FALL GRANT CYCLE. THERE IS AN IMPACT GRANT AWARDED BASED ON SUBMISSIONS FROM THE SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT.

THIS REPRESENTS OUR MAJOR PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENT. ASEF RUNS A FALL GRANT CYCLE THAT ACCEPTS GRANT REQUESTS FROM TEACHERS AND WELL AS PARENTS. DURING THE FALL GRANT CYCLE UP TO 50 GRANT COULD SUBMITTED. AN AVERAGE WOULD AROUND 30 EACH YEAR. REQUESTS HAVE RUN AS HIGH AS $50,000. OUR BUDGET HAS BEEN BETWEEN $25,000 TO $30,000. THIS IS TRENDING HIGHER. THESE GRANTS FUND FIELD TRIPS, PERFORMANCES, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE FIELD TRIPS, SPEAKER, PLAYS, TECHNOLOGIES, BOOKS, STARTUP / SEED MONEY FOR INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS, INCLUSION PROGRAMS, MENTORING PROGRAMS, ETC.
THE IMPACT GRANT IS TO ALLOW SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION TO PRESENT A NUMBER OF LARGER GRANT REQUESTS TO OUR BOARD THAT WOULD IMPACT THE SCHOOL SYSTEM THE GREATEST. OUT OF THAT PRESENTATION THE BOARD CHOOSES ONE OR MORE OF THOSE REQUESTS. THE GRANT IS UP TO $10,000.00 WHICH IS NOT REFLECTED HERE. SEVERAL EXPENSES WERE PAID OVER THE SUMMER BEYOND THE 23/24 FISCAL YEAR.
THIS IS A SCHOLARSHIP THAT GOES TO ONE GRADUATING SENIOR. THIS PROGRAM IS BEING EXPANDED AND THE AWARD AMOUNTS ARE UNDER REVIEW. WITH THE INTENT TO INCREASE THEM TO $2,000. THE PROCESS REQUIRES THE STUDENT TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP THAT INCLUDES AN ESSAY.
