THE LACIS MUSEUM OF LACE AND TEXTILES' EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT, EDUCATE AND ENCOURAGE INVOLVEMENT OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE TEXTILE ARTS. IT CONDUCTS IT'S EXEMPT PURPOSE BY PRESERVING AND EXHIBITING LACE, TEXTILE AND RELATED MATERIALS FROM ALL CULTURES AND ALL PERIODS. IT PROVIDES A RESOURCE CENTER FOR EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION OF THESE OBJECTS, AND MAINTAINS A MUSEUM SALES FACILITY TO DISSEMINATE LACE, LACE-MAKING TOOLS, BOOKS AND OTHER ITEMS TO FURTHER THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE MUSEUM AND TO SUPPORT IT FINANCIALLY.
