PATIENT ASSISTANCE: CANCER CARE NORTHWEST FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDS AND NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS TO CANCER CARE NORTHWEST'S PATIENT NAVIGATOR FOR DISTRIBUTION TO PATIENTS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE WITH LODGING, FOOD, AND TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES.
KIDZ COUNT: THE FOUNDATION SPONSORS A PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH FAMILY MEMBERS SUFFERING FROM CANCER. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES MONTHLY MEETINGS AND AN ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP FOR THE CHILDREN. COUNSELORS ARE PROVIDED AS WELL AS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE CHILDREN TO DISCUSS THEIR EXPERIENCES. THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS VARIES BUT THERE ARE CURRENTLY 32 PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, 10 CHILDREN RECEIVED FULL CHANCELLORSHIPS TO A SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE.
