THE CAPITAL CITY ARTS INITIATIVE IS AN ARTIST-CENTERED NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTS THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS, ILLUSTRATED TALKS, ARTIST RESIDENCIES, AND ONLINE ACTIVITIES. IN OUR 19" YEAR, 2021 - 2022, CCAI PRODUCED AND PRESENTED 16 EXHIBITIONS IN 4 GALLERIESFOR OVER 923 "GALLERY DAYS" WE PRESENTED WORK BY 23 ARTISTS, 106 STUDENT ARTISTS, AND 4 WRITERS. TO PROVIDE THE PUBLIC WITH GALLERY AND PROGRAM ACCESS, WE HAVE PUBLISHED 8 EXHIBIT ESSAYS, 12 VIRTUAL GALLERY TOURS WITH ARTIST INTERVIEWS, 3 ONLINE NEVADA NEIGHBORS TALKS, 12 MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTERS, AND DESIGNED 17 EVENT FLIERS. CCAI PAID 18,350 TO ARTISTS, ESSAY WRITERS, NEVADA NEIGHBORS SPEAKERS, AND FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN/VIDEOPRODUCTION. THE COLLABORATIONS CONTINUE FOR GALLERY SPACES WITH CITY BUILDINGS (BRICK, COURTHOUSE, AND CROWELL ROOM) AND WITH WESTERN NEVADA COLLEGE'S BRISTLECONE GALLERY. THE WORK WITH OUR GREAT PARTNER SCHOOLS CONTINUES. TOTAL VOLUNTEER TIME REACHED 600HOURS. OVER 15 BUSINESSES CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALLY OR WITH IN-KIND SERVICES. WE ACTIVELY PROMOTE EXHIBITIONS AND TALKS ON SOCIAL AND PRINT MEDIA AND KEEP VIDEOS ON THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL. WE SUBMITTED 8 SUCCESSFUL GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THIS YEAR.
