TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH MEMORY DISORDERS AND ALZHEIMERS (BEFORE SUCH PERSONS BECOME "FUNCTIONALLY IMPAIRED") AND THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND CARETAKERS, THROUGH GROUP DISCUSSIONS, LECTURES, WORK SHOPS, SOCIAL EVENTS AND OTHER PROGRAMS, AND TO PROMOTE THE CONCEPT THAT SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SERVICES ARE OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE TO PERSONS WITH ALZHEIMERS, THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND CARETAKERS.

EARLY ALZHEIMER'S FOUNDATION PROVIDES SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH EARLY ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE (AD), SUCH AS TAI CHI AND DANCE CLASSES FOR PHYSICAL HEALTH AS WELL AS LECTURES AND CLASSES ON ART, MUSIC AND CURRENT EVENTS TO MAXIMIZE COGNITIVE FUNCTIONING. EMOTIONAL NEEDS WILL BE MET THROUGH DISCUSSION, EDUCATIONAL GROUPS AND REMINISCENCE GROUPS. FOR CAREGIVERS, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES A HAVEN OF EDUCATION AND UNDERSTANDING. THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE CAREGIVERS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH OTHERS AND LEARN WAYS TO COPE WITH CURRENT AND FUTURE NEEDS OF THE EARLY ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE FOR INDIVIDUALS.
