SEMINARS AND EVENTS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE FEATURES TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES AVAILABLE IN CARROLL COUNTY, MARYLAND.

CTIC IS ACTIVELY SENDING COMMUNICATIONS HIGHLIGHTING GRANTS, LOANS OR RESOURCES FOR THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY OR PROVIDING TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES TO STUDENTS, NONPROFITS AND JOBSEEKERS, THE CTIC WAS A GO TO RESOURCE. IN CONTINUING OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS WITH CARROLL COMMUNITY COLLEGE, MCDANIEL COLLEGE AND THE CARROLL COUNTY BUSINESS EMPLOYMENT RESOURCE CENTER, THE CTIC HAS OFFERED A REDUCED MEMBERSHIP RATE TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN TECHNOLOGY. THE CTIC HAS PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL ROBOTICS PROGRAMS, MD STEM FESTIVAL, AND MEMBERS HAVE VOLUNTEERED AND DONATED TIME TO THOSE PROGRAMS SERVING AS JUDGES AND MENTORS. CTIC MEMBERS HAVE ALSO PARTICIPATED IN NUMEROUS COMMUNITY EVENTS AND FORUMS WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN THE "TECHNOLOGISTS- OR EXPERTS IN REGARD TO VARIOUS TOPICS. OUR STAFF AND MEMBERS SERVE ON THE ADVISORY BOARD TO TECH INCUBATORS IN THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS IN THE REGION, AS WELL SERVING ON THE COUNTY'S LONG-TERM ADVISORY COUNCIL, CARROLL COUNTY BROADBAND ADVISORY BOARD, CARROLL COUNTY'S WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD AND THE MILLION WOMEN MENTORS PROGRAM.
TECHKIDS/TECHWORKS PROGRAMS ARE THE PHILANTHROPIC OUTREACH PROGRAM OF CTIC, WHICH HELP BRIDGE THE DIGITAL DIVIDE IN OUR COUNTY AND ENCOURAGES YOUTH INVOLVEMENT IN STEM FIELDS. THE HALLMARK OF THIS PROGRAM IS OUR LONG HISTORY OF REFURBISHING COMPUTERS AND GETTING THEM INTO THE HANDS OF LOW- INCOME YOUTH AND JOB SEEKERS, AS WELL AS NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. SINCE 2004, THE CTIC HAS GIVEN OUT NEARLY 4,100 COMPUTERS AND IMPACTED THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS.
