ALMOST HOME DOG RESCUE OF OHIO (AHDRO) RESCUED 81 DOGS IN 2021, 59 OF WHICH WERE COLLIES AND 22 WERE SHELTIES. THE RESCUED DOGS CAME FROM SHELTERS, OWNER SURRENDERS AND STRAYS. AHDRO PLACED 70 DOGS WITH APPROVED ADOPTERS, 6 DOGS WERE CONSIDERED NON-ADOPTABLE AND PLACED IN THE SENIOR-TO-SENIOR PROGRAM AND 5 DOGS WERE IN FOSTER CARE WAITING FOR THEIR APPROVED FOREVER HOME.
THE SENIOR-TO-SENIOR PROGRAM CONSISTS OF DOGS CONSIDERED NON-ADOPTABLE DUE TO AGE OR MEDICAL PROGRAMS. THESE DOGS ARE PLACED WITH PERMANENT SENIOR FOSTER. AHDRO UNDERWRITES ALL THE EXPENSES FOR THESE DOGS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.
