THE ASSOCIATION MONITORED AND ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN THE REGULATORY PROCESS ON MATTERS AFFECTING THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY IN VIRGINIA. DURING THE YEAR, IT EVALUATED MANY COMPLEX NEW STORMWATER POLICY DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBMITTED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO VARIOUS VIRGINIA MUNICIPALITIES. THESE RECOMMENDATIONS BENEFIT THE ASSOCIATION'S MEMBERS AND THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE.
THE ASSOCIATION MONITORS, SUPPORTS AND/OR OPPOSES LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY IN VIRGINIA. DURING THE YEAR, IT LOBBIED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT RELATED LEGISLATION IN THE VIRGINIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY, SUCH AS STORMWATER FUNDING OR BUDGET BILLS.
