THE VOLUME OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE BPPN STAFF (OF 46) WAS ESPECIALLY IMPRESSIVE THIS PAST YEAR AS WE SURPASSED 1,200 FOR THE NUMBER OF CLIENTS SERVED THROUGH OUR 4 PROGRAM AREAS. WE ARE PROUD THAT BPPN CONTINUES TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A STRONG AND SUCCESSFUL ORGANIZATION AND FOR OUR PROGRAMS AND STAFF. OUR MISSION REMAINS: BUFFALO PRENATAL PERINATAL NETWORK IS DEDICATED TO PROMOTING HEALTH EQUITY AND HONORING THE DIGNITY OF ALL WOMEN, FATHERS, AND FAMILIES BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION, EMPOWERING SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, AND EMPHASIZING CONNECTION TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND SERVICES IN WNY. WE FOCUS ON REDUCING OUTCOMES INFANT MORTALITY AND MORBIDITY, IMPROVING PREGNANCY AND BIRTH OUTCOMES, AND PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING FAMILIES. DURING THE PAST YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2023 WE ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:- WE ARE IN THE FINAL GROUP OF 9 FROM THE ORIGINAL 90 FOR AN NIH EUNICE SHRIVER GRANT ON SURVIVOR MOM GRANT. - WE SERVED AS A LIAISON FOR NEW STRONG STARTS COURT INITIATIVE FROM NYS FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN IN THE COURT SYSTEM.- WE RECEVIED A HRSA GRANT WITH DYOUVILLE UNIVERSITY FOR CHW TRAINING AND JOB PLACEMENT SITE.- WE ARE INOVLED IN A UNIVERSITY OF SYRACUSE AND ROCHESTER RESEARCH PROGRAM, THINKING HEALTHY, A HOME-BASED DEPRESSION INITIATIVE.OUR AGENCY CONTINUES TO RELY ON GOVERNMENT AND FOUNDATION GRANTS TO PROVIDE PRIMARY SUPPORT FOR OUR PROGRAMS. THIS YEAR, MORE THAN EVER BEFORE, COMMUNITY SUPPORT HAS BEEN ESSENTIAL FOR OUR SUSTAINABILITY, AND WE ARE SO VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE NUMEROUS EXAMPLES OF COMMUNITY SUPPORT OVER THIS PAST YEAR.OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND ADMINISTRATION STAFF REMAIN COMMITTED TO ENSURING PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS, ORGANIZATIONAL EFFICIENCY, AND INTEGRITY, AS WELL AS ENSURING FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY. WITHIN EACH FOCUS AREA, STRATEGIES INCLUDE ENHANCING PARTNERSHIPS AND ESTABLISHING NEW RELATIONSHIPS AS WE KNOW NO SINGLE AGENCY OR PROVIDER CAN IMPROVE COMMUNITY AND FAMILY/INDIVIDUAL HEALTH ALONE.
