THE SPCA PROVIDES SHELTER AND CARE FOR ANIMALS; PREVENTS AND INVESTIGATES ACTS OF CRUELTY TOWARD ANIMALS; RELOCATES LOST OR UNWANTED ANIMALS; AND PROVIDES SPAYING AND NEUTERING ASSISTANCE FOR ANIMALS ADOPTED FROM THE SHELTER. IT ALSO PROVIDES HUMANE EDUCATION IN CLASSROOMS AND AT THE SHELTER TO SCHOOL CHILDREN AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE SPCA ALSO BRINGS PETS TO VARIOUS NURSING HOMES IN CHENANGO COUNTY AS PART OF ITS PET THERAPY PROGRAM.
