THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS AN EDUCATIONAL ONE, TO GATHER, DISSEMINATE, AND PROMOTE USEFUL AND NECESSARY INFORMATION TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK. OUR ULTIMATE AIM AND PURPOSE IS TO DEVELOP A MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE LAW. THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO ACHIEVE PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION, UNIFORMITY OF OPERATION AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE POLICE PROFESSION THROUGH THE EDUCATION OF ITS MEMBERS.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE - TRAINING SESSIONS HELD DAILY FOR 250-350 MEMBERS MANDATED BY THE BYLAWS, INCOME FROM REGISTRATION, POLICE EXHIBITS, ELECTIONS, OFFICER INSTALLMENT.


OTHER PROGRAMS - PROMOTE THE LATEST LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING, EQUIPMENT AND ANY LEGISLATIVE CHANGES FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE COMMUNITY OF ITS MEMBERS.


GTSC PROGRAM - NYS GRANT PROGRAM WHICH APPOINTS A FORMER POLICE CHIEF TO ACT AS LIAISON BETWEEN THE ORGANIZATION AND THE GOVERNORS TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE.


CHIEFS CHRONICLE - PUBLISHING & CIRCULATION COSTS FOR THE ASSOCIATION'S MAGAZINE.
