THE STILLWATER AREA COMMMUNITY CENTER - DEDICATED, PROGRESSIVE, ACCEPTING: THE PLACE FOR ALL TO COME TOGETHER, TO GROW THROUGH LAUGHTER, LEARNING AND SHARING. THE STILLWATER COMMUNITY CENTER PROVIDES A SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE PROGRAM; ELDERCARE TRANSPORTATION; YOUTH BASKETBALL, T-BALL, AND OPEN GYM. THE CENTER HOLDS COMMUNITY BREAKFASTS AND SPECIAL EVENTS; HOSTS COMMUNITY GROUPS, SUCH AS BOY AND GIRL SCOUTS; HOUSES HEAD START, BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL, PENTJAK KARATE, DANCE/TUMBLING FOR CHILDREN, AND THE STILLWATER HISTORIANS. THE CENTER ALSO SERVES AS AN EMERGENCY SHELTER.

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH. IT IS ALSO OPEN DURING SCHOOL VACATION DAYS AND SNOW DAYS, AND RUNS A CAMP DURING THE SUMMER. THIS PROGRAM IS CRUCIAL FOR MANY WORKING PARENTS, ENABLING THEM TO GO TO WORK WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR CHILDREN WILL BE WELL CARED FOR BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL.
