WE DO THIS BY COLLECTING, PRESERVING AND PROMOTING RED HOOK'S HISTORY, MAINTAINING THE HISTORIC ELMENDORPH INN AS A COMMUNITY CENTER, CREATING DYNAMIC PUBLIC PROGRAMS AND PARTNERING WITH COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.OUR ARCHIVES ROOM ON TUESDAYS TO FIND: STORIES, IMAGES AND RECORDS OF OUR PEOPLE AT WORK AND PLAY, OF OUR FARMS, BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES, RECORDS OF MEMORABLE EVENTS, IMPORTANT JOURNALS, LETTERS, MAPS AND MORE.THE ELMENDORPH INN IS ALSO USED FOR LOCAL GATHERINGS EVERY SEASON OF THE YEAR, FROM OUR EVER-POPULAR WINTER SOUP AND CHILI NIGHTS TO HARDSCRABBLE DAY AND DUTCH CHRISTMAS.
