PROVIDED NUTRITION, MEDICAL TREATMENT AND TRAINING TO DOGS AND CATS UNTIL THEY CAN BE ADOPTED INTO RESPONSIBLE HOMES. PCHS IS CONTRACTED BY THE COUNTY OF PUTNAM, NY AND SEVERAL LOCAL TOWNS TO PROVIDE SHELTER FOR LOST AND STRAY DOGS THAT ARE BROUGHT IN BY DOG CONTROL OFFICERS AND THE PUBLIC FROM THESE TOWNS. PCHS THRIFT SHOP SELLS NEW AND GENTLY USED MERCHANDISE TO THE PUBLIC AND IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS. PCHS PROVIDES A PET FOOD PANTRY TO PERSONS WHO HAVE FALLEN ON HARD TIMES SO THEY MAY FEED THEIR PETS. PCHS HAS A WEBSITE TO PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH INFORMATION ON WHAT TO DO IF YOUR PET IS LOST, TIPS, TRAINING AND ADOPTION.
