TO PROMOTE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE HABITATS IN THE NORTHERN WESTCHESTER COUNTY AND EASTERN PUTNAM COUNTY REGIONS OF NEW YORK THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, NATURE STUDY AND BIRDWATCHING.

CONSERVATION EDUCATION, OUTREACH & RESEARCH: PARTICIPATION IN OUR EXPERIENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION (LECTURES, WORKSHOPS, NATURE WALKS, AND FIELD TRIPS) BY ADULTS AND FAMILIES IS SOLID AND GROWING. THE MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTER IS RECEIVED BY MORE THAN 1,700 INDIVIDUALS AND THE QUARTERLY PRINT NEWSLETTER IS MAILED TO APPROXIMATELY 500 HOUSEHOLDS WITH ADDITIONAL ISSUES GIVEN AWAY AT LOCAL LIBRARIES, SHOPS, AND OUTREACH EVENTS. COMMUNITY SCIENCE REMAIN INTEGRAL TO BEDFORD AUDUBON. WE CONTINUE TO PARTICPATE IN EAGLEWATCH AND THE CHESTNUT RIDGE HAWKWATCH AND IN THE MONITORING AVIAN PRODUCTIVITY & SURVIVORSHIP (MAPS) PROJECT, IN ITS 12TH SEASON.
BEDFORD AUDUBON'S PROGRAMS AND PROPERTIES EDUCATE, EMPOWER, AND ENGAGE VISITORS IN CREATING BIRD-FRIENDLY AND PEOPLE-FRIENDLY COMMUNITIES. THE SANCTUARIES AND NATIVE GARDEN CONTINUE TO BE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FROM DAWN TO DUSK, 365 DAYS A YEAR.
