TO PRESERVE AND PROMOTE THE BULIDINGS, LANDMARKS AND ARTIFACTS THAT DOCUMENT THE HISTORY OF BEDFORD, NY; TO INCREASE AWARENESS, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE TOWN'S FOUNDING AND GROWTH; AND TO STRENGHTHEN THE CURRENT AND FUTURE HISTORIC CHARACTER OF THE TOWN.

THE SOCIETY REPLACED THE OIL BUNER AT HISTORICAL HALL AND PERFORMED GENERAL REPAIRS,MAINTENANCE, LANDSCAPING AND CLEANING FOR ALL THE HISTORICAL PROPERTIES OWNED INCLUDING MAINTAINING UTILITIES AND OTHER OPERATIONAL EXPENSES OF THE PROPERTIES.THE SOCIETY MAINTAINS A MUSEUM WITH EXHIBITS AND ARTIFACTS WHICH IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THE SOCIETY PROTECTS 165 ACRES ON FOUR HISTORIC CONSERVATION EASEMENTS. THE SOCIETY OFFERS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND TOURS FOR THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO SUPPORT ITS MISSION.
