SEE STATEMENT OIN PURSUIT OF ITS MISSION, CITIZENS UNION WORKS TO ENSURE THAT THE CITY AND STATE GOVERNMENTS VALUE THEIR CITIZENS, ADDRESS CRITICAL ISSUES AND OPERATE IN A FAIR, OPEN AND FISCALLY SOUND MANNER. IT COMMENTS ON IMPORTANT PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES BY SUPPORTING LEGISLATION THAT REFORMS THE ELECTIONS SYSTEM, IMPROVES THE FUNCTIONING OF GOVERNMENT, AND SERVES THE BROAD PUBLIC INTEREST RATHER THAN NARROW SPECIAL INTERESTS.
