PROVIDE AN E-MAIL AND TELEPHONE INFORMATION LINE FOR OSTOMY PATIENTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS TO RECEIVE EDUCATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR THEIR UNIQUE PHYSICAL PROBLEMS.
ON AUGUST 10-12, 2023 UOAA HELD ITS 8TH NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. ALTHOUGH THIS IS TYPICALLY HELD BIENNIALLY, DUE TO COVID-19, THE LAST CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN 2019. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 500 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE, WHICH INCLUDED REGISTRANTS, SPEAKERS, EXHIBITORS, BOARD, STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS.
SUPPORT 275+ LOCAL SUPPORT GROUPS WITH LEADERSHIP SUPPORT, EDUCATION MATERIALS, AND MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS.
PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS AND PRINTED EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES AT NO COST TO OSTOMY PATIENTS.
