THIS YEAR THE ORGANIZATION WORKED WITH 1,057 PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO STAY IN THEIR HOMES OR WHO WERE LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE. AS PART OF THE ORGANIZATION'S COMPREHENSIVE SCREENING AND MATCHING PROCESS, OVER 2,500 BACKGROUND CHECKS, 2,000 REFERENCE AND LANDLORD CHECKS, AND FACILITATION OF OVER 126 IN-HOME INTRODUCTIONS BETWEEN POTENTIAL MATCHES WAS DONE. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 224 PEOPLE IN HOMESHARING MATCHES DURING THE YEAR. FOR THOSE MATCHES, HOMESHARE PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED AN AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE PAYING AN AVERAGE RENT OF 378 PER MONTH BY EXCHANGING OVER 28,000 HOURS OF ASSISTANCE TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO SHARED THEIR HOMES. 49% OF THOSE WHO SHARED THEIR HOMES REPORTED THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE AT HOME SAFELY AND COMFORTABLY WITHOUT A HOMESHARE PARTICIPANT.
