THIS YEAR THE ORGANIZATION WORKED WITH 737 PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO STAY IN THEIR HOMES OR WHO WERE LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE. AS PART OF THE ORGANIZATION'S COMPREHENSIVE SCREENING AND MATCHING PROCESS, OVER 2,500 BACKGROUND CHECKS, 1,500 REFERENCE AND LANDLORD CHECKS, AND FACILITATION OF OVER 127 IN-HOME INTRODUCTIONS BETWEEN POTENTIAL MATCHES WAS DONE. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 197 PEOPLE IN HOMESHARING MATCHES DURING THE YEAR. FOR THOSE MATCHES, HOMESHARE PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED AN AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE PAYING AN AVERAGE RENT OF 340 PER MONTH BY EXCHANGING OVER 26,000 HOURS OF ASSISTANCE TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO SHARED THEIR HOMES. 50% OF THOSE WHO SHARED THEIR HOMES REPORTED THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE AT HOME SAFELY AND COMFORTABLY WITHOUT A HOMESHARE PARTICIPANT.
