COMMUNITY SCHOOLS A FULL-SERVICE COMMUNITY SCHOOL MODEL DEVELOPED BY YALE UNIVERSITY, ROCKLAND 21C WORKS WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO DEVELOP, SUSTAIN, AND BUILD THE CAPACITY OF 21C ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS, WHICH HAVE ELEMENTS OF EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS, PARENT SUPPORT AND INVOLVEMENT, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES, AND HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.ROCKLAND 21C ALSO SERVES AS ONE OF THREE NEW YORK STATE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTERS FOR COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. THE CENTER PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO NEW AND ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY SCHOOLS IN JUDICIAL DISTRICTS THREE, FOUR, NINE, AND TEN, WITH OVER 360 SCHOOLS IN ITS REGION.
