FUNDERS CONCERNED ABOUT AIDS (FCAA) IS A PHILANTHROPY-SERVING ORGANIZATION (PSO) FOUNDED IN 1987 TO TAKE BOLD ACTIONS AND PUSH PHILANTHROPY TO RESPOND TO HIV AND AIDS. OUR INTENT THEN AND NOW: TO INFORM, CONNECT, AND SUPPORT PHILANTHROPY IN RESPONSE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC OF HIV AND AIDS.FCAA ENVISIONS A WORLD WITHOUT AIDS, FACILITATED BY PHILANTHROPY FOR:EMPOWERMENT, EQUITY AND JUSTICE FOR MARGINALIZED AND NEGLECTED COMMUNITIES;INNOVATION IN HEALTH SERVICES AND OTHER PROGRAMMING TO PROMOTE HEALTH, HUMAN RIGHTS AND SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY; AND GOVERNMENT RESPONSIVENESS AND ACCOUNTABILITY TO PEOPLE'S NEEDS.AS A GLOBAL NETWORK OF FUNDERS, FCAA WELCOMES DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES, FACILITATES OPEN COMMUNICATION AND DEBATE, AND PROMOTES RACIAL AND GENDER EQUITY AND ALL HUMAN RIGHTS.

FCAA CONNECTS, CONVENES AND SUPPORTS LEADERS IN HIV-INFORMED PHILANTHROPY BY ORGANIZING REGULAR GATHERINGS AND FACILITATING COLLABORATIONS AND ADVOCACY EFFORTS. AS THE CENTRAL SOURCE OF INFORMATION ABOUT HIV-INFORMED PHILANTHROPY, FCAA TRACKS, INTERPRETS, AND SHARES INFORMATION ABOUT FUNDING, POLICIES AND PROGRAMS. WE ALSO SHOWCASE EXAMPLES OF GRANTMAKING THAT ARE INFORMED BY AND CONNECTED TO THE GLOBAL HIV RESPONSE AND RELATED SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INEQUITIES, HEALTH DISPARITIES, AND HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES THAT FUEL THE SPREAD OF HIV AND OTHER EPIDEMICS. FCAA REGULARLY PROVIDES IDEAS, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO OVER 1,500 PHILANTHROPIC INSTITUTIONS.
