IN 2023, PJCJC RECOMMITTED TO IMPROVING THE LIVES AND LIFE CHANCES OF YOUTH ENGAGED WITH THE COURTS BY PARTNERING WITH THE NYS PARTNERSHIP FOR YOUTH JUSTICE, AN INTERBRANCH COLLABORATIVE WITH A MULTIFACETED VISION TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR YOUTH IN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM AND THEIR FAMILIES, LED BY THE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES, THE DIVISION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES, AND THE UNIFIED COURT SYSTEM, TO PRESENT A VIRTUAL SERIES TO PROVIDE JUVENILE JUSTICE STAFF WITH EDUCATION AROUND PRACTICE CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING YOUTH JUSTICE DISPARITIES, IMPACTS OF BIAS ON YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES, TRAUMA-RESPONSIVE BEHAVIORS, AND ENGAGING YOUTH IN COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES, SUPPORTS AND OPPORTUNITIES.
