THE PROGRAM'S MISSION IS TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE QUALITY PRESCHOOL SERVICES TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND ASSIST THE FAMILIES IN SOLVING THE EXTERNAL PROBLEMS THEY ARE EXPOSED TO IN THEIR DAILY LIFE. WE CONTINUE TO ACQUIRE RESOURCES AND BUILD OUR STAFF TO PREPARE THE FAMILIES TO BE MORE SELF-SUFFICIENT AND ENABLE THEM TO COPE WITH THE EVERYDAY DEMANDS OF LIFE.

LITTLE ANGELS HEAD START PROGRAM IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT RECEIVES FUNDING FROM THE FOLLOWING SOURCES: FROM NEW YORK CITY ADMINISTRATION FOR CHILDREN SERVICES; AND NEW YORK CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION - PRE-K SERVICES. IT CURRENTLY HAS 3 CENTERS AND SERVES 180 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN THE BRONX AND MANHATTAN. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF LOW-INCOME CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BY PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL PRESCHOOL EDUCATION TO 3 TO 5 YEAR-OLDS FULL-DAY SESSIONS. CHILDREN RECEIVE EDUCATIONAL, HEALTH AND NUTRITION SERVICES IN A CLASSROOM SETTING. IN ADDITION, THE PROGRAM OFFERS SUPPORT SERVICES TO PARENTS TO ENABLE THEM TO HELP THEIR CHILDREN THRIVE IN SCHOOL.
