IT AIMS AT THE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ENORMOUS POTENTIALITIES OF THE HUMAN BEING TO BE HAPPY AND CONTENTED THROUGH INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT. THE VOLUNTARY EFFORTS OF PEOPLE, PROFESSIONAL AND OTHERWISE DEDICATED TO THIS CAUSE SERVES AS A MODEL TO PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT CAN ONLY BE ACCOMPLISHED BY GIVING AND SHARING OUR RESOURCES AND TALENTS.

THE NEW YORK INSTITUTE OF INTEGRAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, INC. HAS SUPPORTED WORKSHOPS RUN BY VOLUNTARY PROFESSIONALS FREE TO THE PUBLIC. THESE WORKSHOPS HAVE INCLUDED: MEDITATION FOR STRESS REDUCTION, PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT, AND AGING AND LONGEVITY. THERE WERE 65 PARTICIPANTS IN A TOTAL OF 13 WORKSHOPS FROM JUNE 2019 TO MARCH 2020. THE VENUES OF THE WORKSHOPS WERE ALSO DONATED BY THE VOLUNTEER PROFESSIONALS WHO CONDUCTED THE WORKSHOPS (PLACE AND REFRESHMENTS).
INDIVIDUALS IN PROJECTS OF DEVELOPMENT, SUCH AS STARTING THEIR OWN SMALL BUSINESS OR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED RECEIVED FREE CONSULTATION FROM OUR VOLUNTEER PROFESSIONALS. WE GAVE FREE CONSULTATION TO PARTICIPANTS OF OTHER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, INCLUDING YOUNG ADULTS HAVING DIFFICULTY WITH JOB INTERVIEWS AND FINDING JOBS. WE GAVE SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS (TOTALING 1706$) TO YOUNG ADULTS HAVING MENTAL HEALTH DIFFICULTIES TO ATTEND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS OF JOB AND MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING. OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS (TOTALING $1304) WERE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS OF LOW INCOME TO ATTEND PROGRAMS, RUN BY LOCAL COMMUNITY AGENCIES, THAT ENHANCED THEIR ABILITY TO BETTER THEIR LIFE AND IMPROVE CHANCES AT GETTING JOBS IN THEIR FIELD OF INTEREST, AND/OR DECREASE THEIR STRESS AND LEARN TECHNIQUES TO MAKE THEIR MENTAL HEALTH STRONGER. THESE PROGRAMS HAVE INCLUDED JOB SKILL COURSES, INCLUDING WRITERS' COURSES AND STRESS REDUCTION TECHNIQUE SEMINARS.
FREE COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN THE FORM OF INFORMING THE PUBLIC ABOUT OTHER EVENTS IN AND AROUND THE BRONX THAT SUPPORT PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE HUMAN BEING TO DEVELOP THEIR POTENTIAL WAS DONE VOLUNTARILY IN THE FORM OF MEETINGS WITH INTERESTED COMMUNITY LEADERS AND PARTICIPANTS. FURTHER, THERE ARE MANY BUDDING AUTHORS AND RESEARCHERS IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT WHO RECEIVED EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND PRACTICAL GUIDANCE, FREE OF CHARGE, BY OUR VOLUNTEER PROFESSIONALS. FROM MARCH THROUGH MAY A TOTAL OF $2000 WERE GIVEN TO NEEDY AND UNEMPLOYED OR LAID OFF INDIVIDUALS FOR THEM TO BUY NUTRITIOUS FOOD FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES. THIS WAS EXSPECIALLY NEEDED DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC SITUATION.
