"THE UJC EXTENDED SERVICES PROGRAM IS LOCATED AT 465 GRAND STREET, NEW YORK, NY. THIS PROGRAM IS A WALK-IN SOCIAL SERVICES OFFICE STAFFED BY SOCIAL WORKERS WHO SPEAK A VARIETY OF LANGUAGES, I.E. ENGLISH, SPANISH, RUSSIAN AND CHINESE, SO THAT UJC IS ABLE TO ASSIST THE ADULT AND OLDER ADULT CLIENTS OF EVERY CULTURAL AND ETHNIC BACKGROUND FOUND IN ITS COMMUNITY. SERVICES INCLUDE CASE ASSISTANCE, BENEFIT AND ENTITLEMENT ASSISTANCE, COUNSELING, CRISIS INTERVENTION, HOME VISITS, AND INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES. ALL SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FIVE DAYS A WEEK AT THE 465 GRAND STREET OFFICE, AND THE STAFF IS SUPERVISED BY A CERTIFIED SOCIAL WORKER. UJC ALSO SUPPORTS A LOW INCOME HOUSING PROGRAM LOCATED AT 219 HENRY STREET, NEW YORK, NY, WHERE IT PROVIDES SOCIAL SERVICES TO TENANTS IN THIS 22 UNIT LOW INCOME HOUSING RESIDENCE. "
THE UJC ADULT LUNCHEON CLUB LOCATED AT 15-17 WILLET STREET, NEW YORK, NY IS A DFTA FUNDED SENIOR CENTER. PRIOR TO THE PANDEMIC THE "LUNCH CLUB" AS IT IS KNOWN, SERVES OVER 27,500 CONGREGATE MEALS AND DELIVERS OVER 58,000 HOMEBOUND MEALS EACH YEAR. THE PROGRAM HAS SHIFTED TO FULL HOME DELIVERY DURING THE PANDEMIC. AT THE CENTER, THERE IS A VARIETY OF PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING HEALTH PROMOTION, RECREATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT CLASSES EACH WEEK. IN ADDITION, THERE IS A CONSUMER CHOICE FOOD PANTRY OPEN ONCE A WEEK THAT SERVES OVER 300 FAMILIES.
THE LILLIAN WALD CENTER, LOCATED AT 12 AVENUE D, NEW YORK, NY, IS A DFTA FUNDED SENIOR CENTER. AT LEAST 60 SENIORS HAVE LUNCH EACH DAY AT THE CENTER AND THAT NUMBER IS GROWING.
