BERKSHIRE CHORAL INTERNATIONAL (BCI) PRIMARILY SERVES ADULT AMATEUR CHORAL MUSIC SINGERS. BCI EXPANDS THE HORIZONS OF SINGERS THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN EXHILARATING PERFORMANCES, ENRICHING TRAVEL AND CULTURAL EXPLORATION, LIFELONG MUSIC EDUCATION, AND CONNECTION TO AN INSPIRING COMMUNITY OF CHORAL ARTISTS.BCI IS A NON-PROFIT EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHICH SERVES AN ANNUAL AVERAGE OF 450 ADULT AMATEUR SINGERS THROUGH FOUR UNIQUE IMMERSIVE PROGRAMS THAT RANGE FROM 4 DAYS TO A FULL-WEEK RESIDENCY. PARTICIPANTS PAY ROOM, BOARD, AND TUITION TO STUDY, REHEARSE, AND PERFORM A VARIETY OF CHORAL LITERATURE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF DISTINGUISHED GUEST CONDUCTORS AND PROFESSIONAL FACULTY.THE ORGANIZATIONS PROGRAMMING CREATES ENRICHING WORLD-CLASS EXPERIENCES THAT ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE TO ADULT AMATEUR MUSICIANS. ITS ARTISTIC AND EDUCATIONAL INTENT IS TO EXPLORE AND ELEVATE THE FULL RANGE OF CHORAL MUSIC EXPRESSION. OUTCOMES INCLUDE IMPROVED PERSONAL MUSICIANSHIP SKILLS, VOCAL TRAINING, AND IMMERSIVE PARTICIPATION IN ENSEMBLE SINGING.TYPICAL MUSIC EDUCATION ACTIVITIES INCLUDE TWO INTENSIVE CHORAL ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS PER DAY AND CLASSES ON MUSICAL TOPICS INCLUDING MUSIC THEORY, SOLFEGE, HISTORY AND REPERTOIRE TAUGHT BY A PROFESSIONAL FACULTY. INDIVIDUALIZED VOICE LESSONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING A PROFESSIONAL-QUALITY CONCERT EXPERIENCE IN RESPECTED VENUES, PARTICIPANTS ALSO ENJOY CULTURAL EXCURSIONS AND FREE TIME FOR SOCIALIZING.
