EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMMINGTHE FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATION PROVIDED ASSISTANCE, DIRECTION AND COUNSEL TO ADULT GROUPS, SCHOOLS, TEACHERS AND EDUCATORS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES IN THE CONTENT, FORMAT AND USE OF THE ASSOCIATION'S EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS IN BOTH VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON SETTINGS IN CLASSROOMS, PROGRAMMING AND DISCUSSION GROUPS. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED PROGRAM AND EDUCATOR GUIDES IN RELATION TO THE USE OF GREAT DECISION MATERIALS IN THE CLASSROOM AND IN DISCUSSION GROUPS IN BOTH VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON SETTINGS. THE ASSOCIATION DEVELOPED ADDITIONAL EDUCATOR MATERIALS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHICH FURTHER ASSISTED TEACHERS AND EDUCATORS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES TO EXPAND EDUCATION IN FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND GLOBAL ISSUES. THE GREAT DECISIONS TELEVISION SERIES IS USED BY EDUCATORS, STUDENTS AND DISCUSSION GROUPS IN PROGRAMMING NATIONWIDE. THE ASSOCIATION'S WEBSITE IS AN IMPORTANT TOOL IN INFORMING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION'S MISSION AND ALLOWS FOR ACCESS TO THE ASSOCIATION'S WIDE RANGE OF VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING, EVENTS AND ONLINE RESOURCES.
EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONSTHE FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATION HAS CONTINUED TO PRODUCE THE GREAT DECISIONS BRIEFING BOOK WHICH IS PUBLISHED AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR. THE GREAT DECISIONS BRIEFING BOOK, ALONG WITH THE GREAT DECISIONS UPDATES AND GREAT DECISIONS TEACHERS GUIDES, ARE USED BY TEACHERS, EDUCATORS, STUDENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ACROSS THE UNITED STATES IN PROGRAMS WHICH FOCUS ON UNITED STATES FOREIGN POLICY AND GLOBAL ISSUES. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PRODUCED OTHER EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONS ON GLOBAL AFFAIRS AND FOREIGN POLICY ISSUES REGULARLY, SUCH AS AMERICA IN THE WORLD: VISIONARIES SPEAK AND AMERICA IN THE WORLD 2020: GREAT DECISIONS SPECIAL EDITION. THE GREAT DECISIONS BRIEFING BOOK AND RELATED MATERIALS ARE USED TO FORM THE BASIS FOR PORTIONS OF THE ASSOCIATION'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND PROGRAM OUTREACH.
MEETINGS, CONFERENCES AND EVENTSOVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR THE FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATION HAS ORGANIZED NUMEROUS CONFERENCES, MEETINGS, LECTURES AND SEMINARS WHICH FEATURED PROMINENT OFFICIALS, EXPERTS, AND AUTHORITIES ON WORLD AFFAIRS ISSUES AND TOPICS. THIS PROGRAMMING PROVIDED AN EDUCATIONAL VENUE ON GLOBAL ISSUES OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR.
