(NEII) IS A NATIONAL TRADE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING THE INTEREST OF FIRMS THAT INSTALL, MAINTAIN AND/OR MANUFACTURE (INCLUDING PARTS OR COMPONENTS) ELEVATORS, ESCALATORS, MOVING WALKS, AND OTHER BUILDING TRANSPORTATION PRODUCTS. NEII'S PRIMARY FOCUS IS ADVOCATING FOR LAWS THAT PROMOTE SAFETY AND INNOVATION.
NEII ALSO WORKS TO PROMOTE SAFETY BY PARTICIPATING IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTION OF CODES AND STANDARDS. NEII STAFF AND MEMBERS PROVIDE EXPERTISE TO THE ASME A17 CODES AS WELL TO THE INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL'S SUITE OF BUILDING CODES.
