THE JEWELERS SECURITY ALLIANCE PROVIDES INFORMATION AND TRAINING TO JEWELERS ON CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH THE PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF MANUALS, GUIDES, BULLETINS, EMAIL CRIME ALERTS AND TRAINING VIDEOS; THROUGH THE MAINTENANCE OF A CRIME WEBSITE (WWW.JEWELERSSECURITY.ORG) AND A STOLEN JEWELRY WEBSITE (WWW.STOLENJEWELRY.ORG); THROUGH LECTURES AND TRAINING AT CONVENTIONS, TRADE SHOWS, SEMINARS AND BY SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS AT THE INVITATION OF MEMBER FIRMS; AND THROUGH ADVICE OFFERED BY TELEPHONE, EMAIL, IN PERSON AND THROUGH ARTICLES IN INDUSTRY TRADE MAGAZINES AND ONLINE TRADE NEWS SERVICES. LOCAL CRIME PREVENTION NETWORKS PROJECT - JSA IS HELPING TO ORGANIZE LOCAL NETWORKS OF JEWELERS IN TOWNS, CITIES AND STATES THROUGHOUT THE U.S. THAT WILL COMMUNICATE INFORMATION WITHIN EACH NETWORK ON CRIMES AND SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES INVOLVING JEWELERS THAT OCCUR IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THE LOCAL NETWORKS WILL ALSO SHARE THAT INFORMATION AND WORK CLOSELY WITH LOCAL POLICE IN THEIR AREA.
