EDUCATION, ADVOCACY AND SOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES FOR LONG ISLAND GAY AND LESBIAN YOUTH AND SURROUNDING AREAS. GROUP PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH, OLDER ADULTS, FAMILIES, PEOPLE WHO ARE TRANSGENDER, THOSE WHO OFTEN OR MOSTLY SPEAK SPANISH, PEOPLE IN SOBRIETY, AND OTHER LGBT PEOPLE IN NEED OF SUPPORT SO THAT THEY CAN GATHER IN A SAFE SPACE AND BUILD COMMUNITY. IN 2021, WE HELD 731 GROUP PROGRAMS WITH 8,214 PARTICIPANT SIGN-INS. EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS TO STOP THE BULLYING OF LGBT YOUTH , IN WORKPLACES TO BUILD EQUITY AND INCLUSION FOR LGBT EMPLOYEES, AND IN ORGANIZATIONS AND HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS SO THAT LGBT PEOPLE CAN RECEIVE SERVICES AND CARE FAIRLY AND WITH DIGNITY. WE DELIVERED 146 EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN 2021 REACHING 8,174 STUDENTS, TEACHERS, CORPORATE WORKERS, COUNSELORS, AND HEALTHCARE PERSONNEL WITH OUR MESSAGE OF INCREASING AWARENESS, AFFIRMATION, INCLUSION, AND SUPPORT FOR LGBT PEOPLE. COUNSELING AND SUPPORT SERVICES SUCH AS OUR COUNSELING PROGRAM TAILORED FOR YOUTH, REFERRALS FOR LGBT- AFFIRMING SERVICES, AND CRISIS INTERVENTION AND SUPPORT FOR LGBT PEOPLE WHO ARE VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, HATE CRIMES, AND DISCRIMINATION. IN JUST 6 MONTHS, OUR COUNSELING PROGRAM SERVED 27 LGBT YOUTH WITH 256 SESSIONS OF SUPPORT. HEALTH PROMOTION SERVICES SUCH AS HIV SERVICES INCLUDING TESTING TO STOP HIV AND HEALTH INSURANCE EDUCATION AND ENROLLMENT SERVICES TO HELP PEOPLE ACCESS AFFIRMING AND AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE SERVICES. IN 2021 (AND DESPITE THE CHALLENGES PRESENTED BY THE PANDEMIC), LGBT NETWORK DELIVERED 177 HIV TESTS AND ENROLLED 143 PEOPLE IN AFFORDABLE HEALTH INSURANCE.
