TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE PUBLIC PERCEPTION AND IMAGE OF FISHER HOUSES AND THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES; TO CONSTRUCT AND FURNISH FISHER HOUSES TO TEMPORARILY HOUSE FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES VISITING MILITARY PERSONNEL IN HOSPITALS AND TO PROVIDE THE SAME FOR OTHER PERSONS QUALIFIED TO USE SUCH FACILITIES; TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES, VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND TO MAKE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS OF MILITARY FAMILIES RECOGNIZING THE READINESS OF THE MILITARY AND THE ROLE OF THE COMMISSARY IN THE MILITARY COMMUNITY.
