THE LEAGUE PROMOTES OPPORTUNITIES IN NEW YORK STATE TO LEARN ABOUT THE PROCESSES BY WHICH LAWS, RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE MADE CONCERNING THE QUALITY OF NATURAL RESOURCES, AIR, AND WATER IN PARTICULAR. THE LEAGUE ENCOURAGES INDIVIDUALS TO EXERCISE THEIR CIVIC RIGHTS AND TO INFLUENCE PUBLIC POLICIES REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES.
