THE MISSION OF THE JUNIPER PARK CIVIC ASSOC IS TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE COMMUNITY FOR THE RESIDENTS OF MIDDLE VILLAGE AND MASPETH. THE JPCA STRIVES TO DEVELOP THE CLOSE RELATIONSHIP OF ITS MEMBERS WITH A PROGRAM OF CIVIC ACTIVITIES.

PUBLICATION OF THE JUNIPER BERRY,A COMMUNITY PUBLICATION OF EVENTS CIRCULATED QUARTERLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE BERRY CONTAINS ARTICLES ABOUT COMMUNITY ISSUES AND EVENTS, THE PEOPLE AND HISTORY OF THE COMMUNITY. ARTICLES ARE WRITTEN BY RESIDENTS AND ABOUT THE MIDDLE VILLAGE AND MASPETH COMMUNITY AREA. ISSUES OF SIGNIFICANCE AROUND THE CITY ARE ALSO SPOTLIGHTED. HISTORIC PHOTOS AND ARTICLES ABOUT THEN AND NOW ARE AMONG THE FAVORITE STORIES AND OF GREAT INTEREST TO READERS. PAST RESIDENTS STAY CONNECTED THROUGH THIS POPULAR PUBLICATION AS WELL.


COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS AND EVENTS, INCLUDING PARK MAINTENANCE, COMMUNITY AND GRAFFITI CLEANUP, VOLUNTEERING AND CIVIC MEETINGS TO DISCUSS ISSUES SURROUNDING THE COMMUNITY. IN 2023 COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES CONTINUED. SUMMER CONCERTS IN THE PARK WERE WELL ATTENDED AND ENJOYED BY THE COMMUNITY.


THE ORGANIZATION CELEBRATED ITS 85TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2023. OTHER EXPENSES INCLUDE PROGRAM PORTION OF OFFICE EXPENSES, TELEPHONE, POSTAGE, INSURANCE.
