GIRLTREK SUPPORTS THOUSANDS AND SEEKS TO RALLY ONE MILLION ACTIVE BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS TO ADDRESS THE HEALTH CRISIS IN AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITIES. TO THIS END, GIRLTREK LEADS INSPIRING WALKING CAMPAIGNS, HOSTS A SUPPORTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORK AND TRAINS LOCAL VOLUNTEERS TO LEAD "WALKING REVOLUTIONS" IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS - GIRLTREK LEADS NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH CAMPAIGNS THAT DEVELOP AND CATALOG POWERFUL HEALTH STORIES ACROSS BOTH TRADITIONAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. THESE CAMPAIGNS SERVE AS A RECRUITMENT TOOL TO ATTRACT NEW WOMEN TO THE MOVEMENT AND SERVE AS TOOLS TO ESTABLISH. GIRLTREK IS A THOUGHT-LEADER IN THE SPACES OF HEALTH, WELLNESS, COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION AND THE ENVIRONMENT.


TREKKER SUPPORT - GIRLTREK PROMOTES WALKING AS A LOW-COST, HIGH-IMPACT INTERVENTION THAT MEETS WOMEN AT THEIR POINT OF NEED. TO THIS END, GIRLTREK HOSTS MONTHLY WALKING CHALLENGES, THEMED IN AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY, THAT PROMOTE INCREASED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND HELP WOMEN CREATE A DAILY HABIT OF WALKING.
