AT THE COURTYARD, WE PROVIDE COLLEGE STUDENT RESIDENCE AND DISCIPLESHIP WHILE AT OSU OR OTHER HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS. WITH OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO REFLECT JESUS CHRIST TO EVERYONE.

RELEVANCE OWNS AND OPERATES THE COURTYARD IN CORVALLIS, OR, NEAR OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY. THE PURPOSE OF THE COURTYARD IS TO PROVIDE AN ENCOURAGING AND ECONOMICAL LIVING SITUATION WHERE UP TO 48 CHRISTIAN COLLEGIATE MEN AND WOMEN CAN BE BUILT UP IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST AND WITH ONE ANOTHER. TOWARD THIS END, THE COURTYARD WORKS AT ESTABLISHING AN ATMOSPHERE OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH SO THAT THE SCHOLASTIC, INTELLECTUAL, CULTURAL, SOCIAL AND ATHLETIC ASPECTS OF LIVING MAY BE PURSUED IN WAYS HONORING TO THE LORD. COURTYARD RESIDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE EACH SCHOOL TERM, BE IN COMMUNITY WITH EACH OTHER'S IN SOLID BIBLICAL TEACHING AND WORSHIP, AND WALK IN A MANNER THAT IS MODELED BY CHRIST AND THE ENTIRE WORD OF GOD. EACH RESIDENT PARTICIPATES WITH ACTS OF SERVICE (MINISTRY) OF CHORES THAT NEED TO BE ACCOMPLISHED FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL.
RELEVANCE PROVIDES DISCIPLESHIP AND SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES IN THE CORVALLIS AREA BY OFFERING SPACE TO OTHER CHRISTIAN AND NON-CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATIONS AND FOR CONCERTS, MOVIES, AND EVENTS. ENCOURAGING MISSIONS, BOTH DOMESTICALLY AND ABROAD, AND OUTREACH LOCALLY IS ALWAYS A PART OF THE PROGRAM. FRIENDS OF INTERNATIONALS ACTIVITIES ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO HELP OTHERS. CAMPUS MINISTRIES UTILIZED THE FACILITY TO REACH OUT TO THOSE LIVING AT OSU AND/OR GOING TO SCHOOL AT LBCC. INFORMAL BIBLE STUDIES AND STUDY GROUPS MET AT THE COURTYARD THROUGH THE YEAR. WITH THE INCREASE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, EFFORTS INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY, WERE FOCUSED ON WELCOMING AND BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS VIA CONVERSATION CORNER, GAME NIGHTS, MEALS, ACTIVITIES AND ONE-ON-ONE ASSISTANCE. IN GENERAL, ALL PEOPLE OF ANY, OR NO, FAITH ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES AT THE COURTYARD. DUE TO COVID-19, PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN REDUCED FOR THE 2021 YEAR.
ALTHOUGH NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY ONE DENOMINATION, ITS MISSION IS TO WORK IN COLLABORATION WITH ALL CHURCHES TO PROVIDING AND ENVIRONMENT FOR CHRISTIAN STUDENTS TO SHARPEN THEIR SPIRITUAL PERSONS THROUGH DISCIPLESHIP AND SERVING IN THE COMMUNITY AND BY PROVIDING PUBLIC TEACHING AND ACTIVITIES THAT WELCOME THE COMMUNITY IN TO SEE THE RELEVANCE OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH COURSES.
