CCFAW SPAYED AND NEUTERED 2800 DOGS & CATS IN 2022 THROUGHOUT VOLUSIA COUNTY THROUGH OUR LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM FOR OWNED DOGS AND CATS AND OUR MUNICIPAL FUNDED TRAP/NEUTER/RETURN(TNR)AND RETURN TO FIELD PROGRAMS FOR CATS.HELD 24 LOW COST PET SHOT CLINICS THAT PROVIDE LOW COST VACCINATIONS FOR PET OWNERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE THEIR PETS VACCINATED AGAINST SUCH DISEASES AS RABIES, DISTEMPER AND KENNEL COUGH. CCFAW ALSO PROVIDES LOW COST TESTING FOR HEARTWORM IN DOGS AND FOR FELINE LEUKEMIA IN CATS AND PREVENTATIVE PRODUCTS FOR FLEAS, HEARTWORM AND INTERNAL PARASITES AT DISCOUNTED PRICES AT THE SHOT CLINIC AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.PROVIDED FUNDING FOR PET OWNERS WHOSE PETS HAD LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCIES AND WHO COULD NOT AFFORD VETERINARY SERVICES.PROVIDED AND FUNDED TNR (TRAP/NEUTER/RETURN) SERVICES TO CAT CAREGIVERS IN MUNICIPALITIES IN VOLUSIA COUNTY THAT HAVE NOT ADOPTED A TNR PROGRAM OR WHO HAVE RESTRICTED TNR PROGRAMS THAT DISQUALIFY SOME CAT CAREGIVERS FROM MUNICIPAL FUNDING.FOSTERED AND FOUND HOMES FOR OVER 450 DOGS, CATS, PUPPIES AND KITTENS IN 2022.ESTABLISHED, ADMINISTERED AND/OR SERVED AS ADVISORS FOR TNR(TRAP/NEUTER/RETURN) PROGRAMS FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FL; THE CITY OF HOLLY HILL, FL; THE CITY OF NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL; THE CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH, FL; THE CITY OF DELTONA, FL; THE CITY OF SOUTH DAYTONA, FL; THE CITY OF ORMOND BEACH, FL; THE CITY OF DEBARY, THE CITY OF DELAND, THE CITY OF ORANGE CITY, FL; AND UNINCORPORATED VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL.OUR TRAP/NEUTER/RETURN (TNR) AND RETURN TO FIELD (RTF) PROGRAMS FOR CATS RESULTED IN AN APPROXIMATE 4000 REDUCTION OF CAT INTAKE AND EUTHANASIA AT OUR LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS AND FREED UP SHELTER SPACE FOR ADOPTABLE DOGS AND CATS.OUR OWNED CAT AND DOG SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAMS REDUCED THE NUMBER OF KITTENS AND PUPPIES BEING BORN AND REDUCED THE NUMBER OF UNWANTED PETS TAKEN TO THE SHELTER IN 2022.CCFAW HAVING ESTABLISHED A TRAP/NEUTER/RETURN AND RETURN TO FIELD PROGRAM THROUGHOUT VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH ALL MUNICIPALITIES IN VOLUSIA COUNTY TO MAKE SURE THESE LIFE SAVING PROGRAMS ARE WORKING PROPERLY FOR THE WELFARE OF THE ANIMALS.
