DOG FUND ( DOG OWNERS GROUP)MISSION:THE PURPOSE OF THE DOG FUND IS TO ESTABLISH, AND SUPPORT, ASSIST IN THE CREATION AND ONGOING MAINTENANCE OF A FENCED-IN, OFF-LEASH PARK WHERE WELL BEHAVED DOGS CAN EXERCISE IN A CLEAN, SAFE ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT ENDANGERING PROPERTY, WILDLIFE OR FELLOW CITIZENS. IN ADDITION THE FUND PLANS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SHOULD THERE BE ANY INCOME AVAILABLE, TO THE NEW FAIRFIELD/ SHERMAN ANIMAL WELFARE AND ASSISTANCE TO SENIOR CITIZENS, WHO THROUGH ESTABLISHED SOCIAL SERVICES DEMONSTRATE A NEED BASIS TO KEEP THEIR PETS HEALTHY. DURING 2015 REPLACED FENCING, ADDED TRASH CANS, SIGNAGE, SUPPLIES AND PAVED SIDEWALK TO ENTRANCE OF DOG PARK.
THE FOUNDATION OPERATES NUMEROUS OTHER FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF NEW FAIRFIELD. THESE INCLUDE THE WIGGINS, PATRIOT, EDUCATION, BEAUTIFICATION, LISA WHALEY, EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION, SCORE, ENCORE, THE DEBBIE, WIGGINS AND PEGGY B FUNDS.
