THE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED FOR EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE PURPOSES.IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS MISSION, THE FOUNDATION PRESERVES, PROTECTS AND PROMOTES IN PERPETUITIY THE ART, CULTURE, HISTORY AND NATURAL BEAUTY OF HARTFORD'S NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CEDAR HILL CEMETERY.

Part 3 - Line 4a
CEDAR HILL CEMETERY FOUNDATION PRESENTED A COMBINATION OF IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING. THE FOUNDATION CREATED FOUR VIDEOS, INCLUDING THE POPULAR LANTERN TOUR, MADE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE AND YOUTUBE CHANNEL. TOTAL VIEWS TO DATE ARE 1,182. THE FOUNDATION OFFERED 2 VIRTUAL LECTURES VIA ZOOM ATTRACTING 89 PARTICIPANTS. THE FOUNDATION PRESENTED A REDUCED ONSITE SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES WITH MOST PROGRAMS HELD WITH LIMITED CAPACITY. TOTAL ONSITE ATTENDANCE WAS 357.THE FOUNDATION UNDERTOOK THE PRESERVATION OF THE STATUE OF HOPE WHICH HAS STOOD ATOP THE JEWELL MONUMENT FOR OVER 145 YEARS. CONSERVATION TREATMENT INCLUDED CLEANING, REMOVING LOOSE CORROSION, PATINATING SURFACES, AND APPLYING A PROTECTIVE COATING.
