(CRI) MANAGES THE COORDINATED DELIVERY OF SERVICES FOR UNIVERSAL ACCESS THROUGH AJC ONE STOP CENTERS IN SOUTHWESTERN AND NORTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CT DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, CAREER RESOURCES PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES, RESULTING IN INCREASED EARNINGS FOR THE JOB SEEKER AND A COMPETITIVE, TRAINED WORKFORCE FOR THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. TRAINING FOCUSES ON DEVELOPING POSITIVE ATTITUDES AND WORK HABITS FOR SUCCESSFUL LONGTERM EMPLOYMENT. CAREER RESOURCES ASSUMED THE OPERATIONS OF STRIVE NEW HAVEN IN APRIL OF 2012, AND NOW OPERATES ALL FOUR STRIVE SITES IN BRIDGEPORT, HARTFORD, WATERBURY AND NEW HAVEN CONNECTICUT.
REENTRY AND COMMUNITY RELEASE OPERATES THREE HOMES WITH A FORTY-FIVE BED CAPACITY (MALE). THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OPERATES ONE HOME WITH A FIFTEEN BED CAPACITY (FEMALE). THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR THE MALE AND FEMALE RESIDENTS OF THE PROGRAM AND WORKS WITH LOCAL HUMAN SERVICES ORGANIZATIONS AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS IN PROVIDING THE BEST AVAILABLE SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS.REENTRY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIESFEDERAL GRANT PASSED THROUGH THE WORKPLACE, INC. THIS PROGRAM FOCUSES ON ENHANCING CAREER AND COLLEGE READINESS IN THE 16-24 YEAR-OLDS IN THE GREATER BRIDGEPORT AREA. SECURE JOBSSECURE JOBS CT IS A TWO-YEAR DEMONSTRATION PILOT DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE INCOME OF FAMILIES TRANSITIONING FROM HOMELESSNESS TO HOUSING BY CONNECTING THEM TO THE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND SUPPORTS THEY NEED TO SECURE AND MAINTAIN STABLE, COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY BETTER INTEGRATING AND COORDINATING THE EFFORTS OF THE HOMELESS SERVICES, WORKFORCE AND CHILD CARE SECTORS TO EFFECTIVELY SERVE FAMILIES PARTICIPATING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING'S (DOH'S) CONNECTICUT'S RAPID REHOUSING PROGRAM (CTRRP).FOSTER GRANDPARENTS FUNDED BY THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE, THE FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM BRINGS LOW-INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS INTO 10 PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN BRIDGEPORT, STRATFORD, AND FAIRFIELD TO MENTOR CHILDREN FACING CHALLENGES IN SCHOOLS.
